Our Story

In 2023, landowner and Triad local Matt Tullos had a vision for transforming his Davie County field into a community-focused space. Partnering with Stephen Edwards and Twilight Golf Club to lead development, Old Field was soon connected with renowned golf writer Tom Coyne and his architecture team, led by Colton Craig at Smyers, Craig, and Coyne, to bring that vision to life. Together, they designed a distinctive six-hole short course, a 12-hole Himalayan-style putting course, and a modern practice range that combine playability with charm. Operations are led by Garrett Andersson, in collaboration with Twilight Golf Club and in partnership with neighboring Colin Creek Golf Club and Olive Tree Restaurant, laying the foundation for Old Field to become a welcoming hub for golf and community alike. Old Field also works closely with The First Tee and Youth on Course, striving to expand equitable access to the game we all love for people of all ages and walks of life.
